Welcome S’mores the llama!

A tall brown llama with long teeth and a shaggy coat

S’mores when she first arrived

S'mores is a 14-yr-old llama who had been living on a local farm, but was suffering from an excruciating infection in her jaw that would have turned fatal. Her owner wasn't able to afford the extensive procedure necessary to save S’mores’s life, so she agreed to turn her over to Sweet Farm. Obviously we needed to jump into action to raise the $5,000 necessary for the surgery…and our AMAZING supporters came through for this beautiful llama girl.

She is still recovering, with lots of followup care around the clock. She has never lived inside before, so she is very unsure and still getting used to the sights and sounds and smells of her new home. But thanks to your support, she is getting a second chance filled with love, compassion, and freedom. She is curious about Paco, Sheika, and Dolly and anxious to meet them (as soon as she is ready!).

The response to S'mores's plight has been incredible. We thought there was no way we would be able to raise the money for her surgery in such a short amount of time. But we did. YOU did.

After her summer haircut!

S’mores is now happy and healthy with all her new friends at Sweet Farm.

All of the important work we do is only possible through donations from generous and compassionate people like our supporters. You keep us going. You came through and S'mores is now safe and in her forever home at Sweet Farm.

Thank you for helping support sweet S'mores and all the rescued animals at Sweet Farm. We couldn't do this without you.
