Our Mission
Visit our farm in Upstate New York
Sweet Farm was founded in Half Moon Bay, CA in 2015. After the California wildfires and drought became too real of a threat to the farm, we became the next in a growing community of climate refugees and relocated our 120+ rescued farm animals to the climate-stable Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. Our new farm is over 50 acres, and has allowed us to expand our programs and reach, while providing a safe and loving home to even more Sweet Farm Animal Ambassadors.

Public Tours
Enjoy our beautiful lake views while snuggling sheep, goats, & llamas (sheep selfies at no extra charge!). Our new farm overlooks Seneca Lake in Himrod, NY, only an hour’s drive from Rochester and Syracuse and right on the lake’s amazing wine trail. We host 1-hr public tours to meet our rescued animals throughout the year. Spots must be reserved in advance.
BONUS: For $10/person you can enjoy a wine tasting at Vineyard View Winery at Sweet Farm after your tour.
Public tours ask a donation of $15 per attendee.

Private Tours
Bring your whole squad for a special birthday, show your whole family how sweet cows can be, or maybe you just want to surprise a special someone with the chance to pet a sheep or meet a llama! This unique experience allows for personal time with our rescued farm animals and a more hands-on experience in our vegetable and flower gardens or foraging trails (depending on season and your preferences!).
Private tours (up to 15 people) are available with a donation of $225.

Spend quality time with family and friends at The Sweet Farmhouse, a charming and spacious two-story Victorian on Western New York's Largest Finger Lake. During this unique stay, explore the world's first nonprofit climate sanctuary, and meet the charming rescued animals that call Sweet Farm their home. Your on-the-farm stay is hosted through our partners at YourStay. Profits from your stay go toward providing rent-free land and donations toward our animals and programs.

Sweet Farm would love to be a part of your special day! We also regularly hosts groups at the farm — everything from birthday parties to school & corporate volunteer groups. We welcome everyone and can customize the event to meet your needs. We are currently booking weddings and events for 2025 and beyond.

Wine Tasting On The Farm
In partnership with Vineyard View Winery, our on-farm wine tasting room is now open Thursday-Monday! Try amazing wines, relax on the farm, buy our seasonal Sweet Farm flowers and veggies — all while knowing a portion of all proceeds go to support our important nonprofit work.
Located just across the street from our rescued animals, you can book a tour to meet them when you’re done tasting!
