We have 15 rare-breed hens who need names!

Ayam Cemani, blue maran, black copper maran, and buckeye ladies

New faces alert!! We recently took in 25 retired breeding chickens, and 15 of them are hens in need of names!

What's even cooler? Most are rare and endangered breeds! Biodiversity is essential to the health of humans, animals, plants, soil, and the planet. It creates ecosystem & climate resilience, aids in food security, and keeps our water and air clean. With the importance of biodiversity in mind, we welcomed 9 Ayam Cemani, 3 Blue Marans, 1 Buckeye, and 3 Black Copper Marans who don't have names yet!

Will you help us name them?

For a donation of $75, you can name one of our beautiful new hen friends, and you can even let us know if there is a specific breed of hen you would like to name! Your donation will help us get these girls set up for long and healthy lives with the rest of our main flock!
