DEAR DOTTY by Jaclyn Westlake Virtual Book Club Discussion

  • Sweet Farm 210 Hall Road Himrod, NY, 14842 United States (map)

Sign up below to receive an exclusive invite to a conversation with debut fiction author Jaclyn Westlake and Sweet Farm about her new book, Dear Dotty! We will be discussing our love for animals and the themes and features of animal sanctuaries, veganism, and the chaos and confusion of life in your 20's in Dear Dotty

If you haven’t heard: Dear Dotty centers around a lost, twenty-something animal lover, Rosie Benson, who doesn’t quite have it all together. She struggles to figure out life and soon finds herself following the wisdom and advice of her late great-aunt through a series of revelatory emails about pursuing long-buried dreams rather than society’s idea of perfection. In the book, Rosie navigates through her complicated career, recovering from being fired, contemplating working a recruiting job or her dream job at an animal sanctuary, her unpredictable love life, her new obligations as an aunt, and dealing with the death of her independent, childfree “cool aunt” who she looked up to most, Dotty Polk, whose pug Bug she just inherited. Throughout the book, we follow Rosie’s journey as she juggles all of these events at once and figures out what is most important to her in life.
